Dr. Philip Tregoning and his wife Cheryl  live in Athens. Cheryl received a degree in secondary education from Athens State University and teaches 7th grade in the Limestone County School system. Dr. Tregoning's family is from Carterville, Illinois. After high school, he moved to Jackson, Tennessee and received a BS degree in Chemistry from Lambuth College. In 1993 he completed a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. After completion of his doctorate, he served a residency in advanced Dental Education in 1994.
